This application substantially reduces your cards\u2019 normal wear and tear and protects them from scrapes. This laminate ribbon is made of clear polyester and makes your printed cards more resistant to damages caused by repetitive use and humidity. Plus, it contains OptiExpress\u2122, an additional protective layer that prints a holographic compass design on the entirety of your cards. This process increases your cards\u2019 security and durability. This ribbon laminates 350 images and is only compatible with card printers equipped with an Entrust (formerly Datacard) CLM laminator.<\/p>\n<p><em>* Note: On one of the laminate rollers, you will find a radio-frequency antenna called RFID (see picture). This antenna should not be removed as it enables the printer to recognize the type of laminate installed in the lamination module. If this antenna is removed while loading the laminate, you will get an error message (e.g. &#8220;Printer Laminate Not Identified&#8221;). This will automatically suspend the printing of all the remaining cards. To avoid this problem, make sure the RFID antenna is securely attached to the laminate ribbon.
