Retransfer technology differs from direct printing in its innovative printing technique. Rather than printing directly onto plastic cards, images are first printed under the retransfer film. Then, the retransfer film is applied to the card surface using heat and pressure. This method allows printing right to the edges of the card without leaving any visible borders. In addition, print quality is maintained because the image is completely protected under the retransfer film. For proper operation, this retransfer film must be paired with an Entrust color or monochrome printing ribbon. These products are sold separately. This 513402-002 Clear Retransfer Film is an authentic Entrust item. <strong>The manufacturer recommends using only Entrust-certified ribbons to maintain the print quality of your cards.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>*Note: On one of the two film rolls, there is a radio frequency antenna called RFID (see image). This antenna should not be removed, as it allows the printer to recognize the type of film installed in the cartridge. Otherwise, the printer will display an error message and suspend card printing.
