These 0.014 in. (final thickness, without the paper backing) self-adhesive white cards are CR79 size. This format complies with the international ISO 7810 standard, but is very slightly smaller than the CR80 format commonly used for card production. This makes these cards particularly suitable for sticking over other CR80-sized cards, such as contactless smart cards. The minimal difference in size makes this type of card compatible with most printers.
Is this type of card suitable for your project?
Self-adhesive cards are much thinner and more flexible than standard cards. They are typically used as temporary ID badges.
Note: This type of card is not suitable for retransfer printers. If used with a printer with a lamination module, disable lamination. Similarly, since only one side is printable, disable double-sided printing on a duplex printer. Depending on the printer used, some problems have been reported with printing self-adhesive cards with paper back, in which case the mylar back is preferable. The CR79 format is very slightly smaller than the CR80 format, make sure your printer supports this format.
