Retransfer Ribbon PR000839 – XID8100

The PR000839 retransfer ribbon is designed for Matica XID series card printers. Retransfer technology differs from direct printing in its innovative printing technique. Rather than printing directly onto plastic cards, images are first printed under the retransfer ribbon. Then, the retransfer film is applied to the card surface using heat and pressure. This method allows printing right to the edges of the card without leaving any visible borders. In addition, print quality is preserved because the image is completely protected under the retransfer ribbon. For proper operation, this retransfer ribbon must be paired with a Matica color or monochrome print ribbon. These products are sold separately. All Matica ribbons are automatically recognized by your printer upon installation: no configuration is required by the user.
