Clear Laminating Ribbon 514910-501 – CR805

The 514910-501 clear lamination ribbon is designed for the Entrust CR805 card printer with lamination module. This transparent layer adheres to the PVC card to make it more resistant to daily wear and tear. This process prevents discoloration and provides protection against abrasion. The lamination also deters card tampering. This clear lamination ribbon is one-thousandth of an inch thick. In addition, this ribbon is full, meaning it will cover one side of the card entirely. This ribbon is an authentic Entrust item. The manufacturer recommends using only Entrust-certified ribbons to maintain the print quality of your cards. In short, the 514910-501 clear lamination ribbon significantly increases the durability and longevity of your cards.

*Note: On one of the two rolls of the lamination ribbon, there is a radio frequency antenna called RFID (see image). This antenna should not be removed, as it allows the printer to recognize the type of ribbon installed in the lamination module. If this antenna is removed while loading the ribbon, an error message (e.g., "Printer Laminate not identified") will appear and printing of the remaining cards will be suspended. To resolve this issue, simply replace the antenna on the correct roll and restart the printer.
